Turbine just arrived
This is a Airresearch GTP70-6-2 gas turbine engine. I have found it very difficult to find information on this engine, but from the best of my research, it was built sometime in the mid 60's for the U.S. Army. This model seems to have made it's way into the hands of the U.S. Marines before eding up in my garage. I purchased it used off of e-bay for $1300 plus shipping and taxes. Another couple dozen hours of searching and $450 later I also have obtained the rebuild manual, the field manual and the expanded parts diagram.
