Smoke and Glow
The glow from the fire can be seen over that ridge. The ridge is about 0.5 mi. away. The fire is about 2.5 mi NE of me.

Fire Line in Rattelsnake Canyon
Sorry for the blurry image. The exposure time here is 2.5 seconds and I did not have a tripod here. The fire is coming down the face of a slope about 2.5 mi. NNE from this location. My home is about 0.25 mi NNE from this location. I started getting nervous about here.

Fire as Seen From My Driveway
This is at about 1.5 mi NE from my home. The wind is blowing at about 15-20 mph from the NE. At this point everything is packed and we are ready to run. Fortunately, the wind died down about an hour later and this front started to die down. (Yay!) Finally with a tripod, I can take a 3 second exposure.
